Lesli worked at National Bank of Arizona (NB|AZ) for more than 19 years, where she developed and managed a portfolio of business and commercial real estate client relationships. A 31+-year seasoned veteran of the financial services industry, her finance background includes development and construction financing, lending to small and medium-sized businesses, loan risk review, credit policy development, and bank regulation.
She is a Lecturer in Business Communication at the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management where she teaches business writing, presentation skills, and interpersonal and team dynamics skills. Each semester, her classes worked with local nonprofits, developing communication strategies to assist the organizations in reaching their strategic goals.
Lesli led NB|AZ’s Tucson Women’s Financial Group, dedicated to building business connections for professional women through financial health programs, co-created the bank’s formal mentoring program, facilitated the bank’s Leadership Challenge initiative, and became a certified Omega credit trainer.
She also is a certified Professional Behaviors Analyst, certified Professional Driving Forces Analyst, and certified facilitator in The Leadership Challenge. She works with individuals and teams to understand and enhance communication effectiveness and leadership talents.
Lesli is a frequent speaker on leadership and communication, has received several awards for her community activities, and participated in the 2014-2015 International Women’s Forum Leadership Foundation Fellows Program for emerging global leaders. She recently served on the board of directors the Nonprofit Loan Fund of Tucson and Southern Arizona, was chair of the AZ Earn to Learn board of directors, and currently serves as a mentor for the Tucson Metro Chamber’s Emerging Leaders Council.
